Where it comes from

Power Mix, in full

Bajra has been Rajasthan’s grain for as long as anyone has farmed the desert, and ragi and jowar grow wherever the rain runs thin. Power Mix puts all three in one pouch as light, crisp puffs, adds cornflakes for the snap, and seasons the lot with curry leaves, rock salt and a touch of oil. Savoury, light, and made to sit beside a cup of chai.

When to open it

The chai-time pouch

Light enough to eat by the bowl, savoury enough to stand in for namkeen.

With the evening chai

A bowl beside the cup. Savoury and crisp, the way a chai snack should be — at 2.02 g of fat per 100 g.

Tossed into a chaat

Chopped onion and tomato, a squeeze of lemon, a pinch of chaat masala. Two minutes, and it eats like bhel.

In the bag, for later

The pouch closes tight and weighs next to nothing. Office drawer, school bag, the long drive — it goes where a jar will not.

Why this pouch

What makes it different

Three millets, one pouch

Ragi, jowar and bajra, each puffed on its own and mixed together. Grains Rajasthan has always eaten, in a form that needs no cooking.

2.02 g fat per 100 g

The lightest thing we make by a distance, and the lowest in calories at 342 kcal. Puffed grain is mostly air and crunch.

Curry leaves and rock salt

Seasoned the way a Rajasthani kitchen would do it. No flavour powder and no colour anywhere on the ingredient list.

1.03 g sugar, and we print it

Savoury all the way through. Sugar is not on the ingredient list; the little in 100 g is what the grain and the cornflakes bring with them.

Three months, and we say so

Use within three months of the date on the pouch. It is short because there is no preservative on the list to stretch it.
